Located approximately 550 km north-west of Adelaide, Olympic Dam Mine is one of the world’s most significant deposits of copper, gold, and uranium, operated by global mining leader BHP.

Redpath commenced a new contract at Olympic Dam in July 2023, delivering Shotcreting, Cablebolting, Batch Plant services, and Fleet Maintenance. As one of the largest contractors on-site, joining Redpath offers excellent exposure and hands-on experience with modern underground mining equipment—perfect for anyone looking to advance their electrical maintenance career.

Working a 14/14 rotating roster (12‑hour shifts), the Electrician will be an integral part of the maintenance team, supporting a new fleet of electric Agitator trucks, Cablebolters, and Normet Shotcrete rigs.
  • Carry out electrical works in line with industry best practices and statutory requirements
  • Complete repairs safely, efficiently, and to a high-quality standard
  • Diagnose faults, repair, and replace electrical components
  • Identify and proactively manage electrical and operational risks
We are seeking an experienced and safety‑focused Electrician with:

  • Demonstrated experience with underground hard‑rock mobile and fixed plant
  • A current Electrical Licence
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities
  • Experience with mine electrical systems and equipment
  • Valid CPR & EAR certifications (or ability to obtain prior to start)
  • A valid manual driver’s licence
  • Ability to pass a National Police Check and Pre‑Employment Medical
